Dr. Irancé Reddix Sellers, MD FAAFP

Dr. Reddix grew up in Monroe, LA. She attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where she received her
Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering in 1982. After working for a period of time in the Admissions office
of MIT, Dr. Reddix applied and was accepted to the Howard University College of Medicine, where she served as a
tutor, on the admissions committee, a mentor for young women and men, and as part of the governing council.

After completion of her medical studies, Dr. Reddix attended The Baylor College Family Medicine Residency program,
and there served as Chief Resident. After obtaining her Fellows degree, she then opened her first practice in the west
side of Houston. After 11 years in solo private practice, Dr Reddix moved her family of three children, to a small town
on the eastern shore of North Carolina, namely Rocky Mount.

After the death of her father, Dr. Reddix moved back to Monroe, LA. In 2006 Dr. Reddix applied for and was
accepted to the Johns Hopkins/University of Maryland faculty development and research fellowship. Her research
interests currently include cultural competency and cultural diversity.

Her interests also involve the synergy between medicine, spirituality and ministry. She continues to speak nationwide
on a variety of subjects from nutritional supplementation, integrating cultural diversity into current healthcare
systems, integrating health information technology into small practices and approaching healthcare from the
perspective of body mind and spirit.

She continues to practice family medicine in her private practice in Baltimore Maryland and participate in research
projects.

Dr. Reddix is currently enrolled in a Masters of Theology program where she continues to learn to integrate medicine
and ministry.
